Juventus Officially Launches Academy in Indonesia, Aiming to Nurture Local Football Talents

Juventus Academy aims to develop footballers through a vision that relies not only on technical aspects but also on mental, emotional, and interpersonal factors.

Jakarta, [28 Jan 2023] - Juventus, the renowned Italian football club, has officially inaugurated their academy in Indonesia during the Juventus Village event held at Lippo Mall Kemang, Jakarta on Saturday (28/1/2023).

Federico Palomba, Managing Director of Juventus APAC, explained the reasons behind choosing Bali. "It's because the club believes that Bali is one of the most attractive places in Asia and an ideal location to strengthen our brand. Every year, more and more children in Asia are growing with a passion for football, which is truly remarkable for us. In addition to this important factor in itself, there is also the crucial fact that we have found a partner who shares the same vision and enthusiasm, so we couldn't ask for anything better." Managing Director of Juventus for Asia-Pacific, Federico Palomba, emphasized that establishing the academy in Indonesia is a crucial step in nurturing exceptional talent in the country.

Following the club's philosophy, Juventus Academy aims to develop footballers through a vision that relies not only on technical aspects but also on mental, emotional, and interpersonal factors. The Juventus Academy methodology is divided into five key points: playing style, technical ability, tactical ability, mental factors, and emotional and social factors. Juventus has 272 million fans throughout Asia, with the highest number of fans in Indonesia. This is one of the reasons why the Italian giants have decided to open Juventus Academy in Bali.

With the addition of the Indonesian branch, Juventus now boasts 90 academies spread across 33 different countries worldwide. The upcoming agenda will see Bali as the chosen location for the academy's establishment.

Meanwhile, Ade Sulistioputra, CEO of KIOS, also expressed hope that the presence of Juventus Academy would contribute positively to Indonesian football, considering the immense popularity of the sport in the country. "Football is greatly loved in Indonesia. Fans watch football matches in stadiums and on television, and we see that football has significant potential. Juventus aims to contribute to the development of football in Indonesia," said Ade Sulistioputra.

The launch of Juventus Academy in Indonesia marks an exciting milestone in the country's football landscape. It is expected that this program will not only enhance the footballing skills of young Indonesian talents but also inspire them to reach greater heights in the sport.
